Ultra-Violet Tea

I’m lonely and my mouth aches
I’m just about to die
My heart it quivers moon shakes
Like two lovers on a vine
To taste the light organic
To taste what is obscure
To huddle in the found joy
Of all of us is true
There’s some trouble in the city
But the birds are singing pretty
They’ve been lifting Bodhicitta
From Monday through the weekends
From my Plymouth Barracuda
I see robins with their mudras
I see sparrows without egos
And cardinals without goals
I measured in my last stance
And then I turned away
This subtle occupation
Will surely have its way
It’s like ultra-violet nuance
It’s like candy-coated stars
It’s like sitting in the last row
Of my first abandoned car
There’s some trouble in the city
But the birds are singing pretty
They’ve been lifting Bodhicitta
From Monday through the weekends
From my Plymouth Barracuda
I see robins with their mudras
I see sparrows without egos
And cardinals without goals
Can candle light obscure us?
Can silence be our friend?
Is this ultra-violet nuance,
Just the pest to show the end?
You’re writing up the last words
And brewing up some tea
You celebrate fantastic
By drinking herbs with glee
There’s some trouble in the city
But the birds are singing pretty
They’ve been lifting Bodhicitta
From Monday through the weekends
From my Plymouth Barracuda
I see robins with their mudras
I see sparrows without egos
And cardinals without goals
And I celebrate my true love
Like all good centuries
I drink my light fantastic
With some ultra-violet tea.
